Artist Betty Whiteaker's diverse portfolio ranges from watercolors to richly rendered oil paintings that exhibit the versatility of her hand. Betty studied art at the Kansas City Art Institute, Washington University, and graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia. She began her career 50 years ago as a designer for Hallmark, and eventually launched her own licensing business with Courtney-Davis, Inc. as her agent.
She created original art and worked on product development in many industries, including social expression, dinnerware, children's nursery products, gifts, toys, and publications. The corporations included Rival Manufacturing, Wendy's International, Wedgwood Dinnerware, Enesco Gift, Lang Publishing, and many others.
